My 2002 Quigley's mechanical overhaul is almost done and I'll soon start building out the interior to make it into a camper van. I'm planning to have a large elevated bed with storage underneath and somehow convert the front of the bed area to be additional seating.
Wondering what's the best way to get AC to the bed area at night with the engine off. Have talked to some solar people and they said its not practical to try and have a solar cell/battery system to run this AC while sleeping. What other options are there for secondary AC units/systems? I have a generator box on the back that I guess could be used (haven't bought a generator yet). Again, just want it to keep us relatively cool while camping summer nights and maybe have enough juice for reading lights and tunes, possibly a fridge but can likely go with a cooler for that...
